Harvey F. Wachsman, M.D., J.D.
Dr. Wachsman, a neurosurgeon and attorney, was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He holds eight medical licenses and seven legal licenses around the country, with both a medical and legal license in the state of New York and a legal license in the state of Texas. For over twenty years Dr. Wachsman has successfully tried medical malpractice cases, including cases involving brain injured children, across the United States.
Dr Wachsman is President of the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys, and a partner in the law firm of McGehee Wachsman with offices in New York and Texas. Dr. Wachsman is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the State University of New York and Chairman of the Health Sciences and Hospital Committee of The SUNY Board.
Dr. Wachsman is an outspoken advocate for the protection of the public. Since 1977 he has appeared on numerous television and radio programs and has written and lectured frequently on issues related to medical malpractice and public health and safety. He is author of the book titled, Lethal Medicine: the Epidemic of Medical Malpractice in America, and co-author of six books, Editions I and II titled, The American Law of Medical Malpractice.
