Lou Ann Nolan

Lou Ann is an attorney with the law firm of McGehee Wachsman. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree, cum laude, from the University of Houston in 1981. In 2003, she received her J.D. from South Texas College of Law where she was a member of Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honors Fraternity - Wood Inn. In the Spring of that year, she received the David T. Donnelley Memorial Award, which is awarded by the faculty of South Texas College of Law to their choice for the most outstanding graduating law student "in recognition of exemplary character, perseverance and legal ability." She also received Phi Delta Phi's Highest Grade Award for Civil Trial Advocacy as well as the highest evaluation ever received in the history of the Criminal Process Clinic at South Texas College of Law from the District Attorney's Office for her internship there.

Lou Ann is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Texas Bar Association, American Bar Association, and Bay Area Bar Association. She is admitted to practice in all Texas State Courts and the Southern District of Texas.

She is a certified Attorney Ad Litem and is certified as a mediator. Lou Ann has extensive business experience as well as experience in medical malpractice, business, corporate, probate, personal injury, and the general practice of law.

She is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Houston, a lifetime member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, a member of the Galveston Art League and the Art League of Baytown as well as numerous other affiliations. She also volunteers her time raising money for youth, battered women and educational programs and teaching art to the children at the Shriner's Children's Hospital in Galveston through a program sponsored by the Galveston Art League called World of Art.

She is married to Houston trial attorney Jack Nolan and has two children, Matthew and Kristen.
